This is one of the stunning views you get to see when staying at Frankfurt Marriott Hotel, a place which I will at times call my second home. Just started on a project in this town, my very first in my young career as a consultant, so I wonder if this place can become my home away from home. When seeing colleagues being familiar with the staff I’m unsure how long this is going to take for myself… Well we had a good start with this view at least!<\/p>\n

The fitness studio is a large one, best preconditions to stay in shape although working late seems to be the case here. Or at least staying up late because many colleagues visit the lounge after work where they have a full fridge of all kinds of (non-) alcoholic beverages. Good variety of beer and wine, for starters. Not to miss the complimentary dinner there, too, assumed you make it to Gold status with Marriott. The more „senior“ colleagues (meaning they have been on the project for a while and thus staying here, not hierarchical) can always bring a guest so access is granted for basically everyone of our still-small group. Floor 42 is also a good place to get to know new colleagues working on different projects because our people have one unique identifier – their cell phones. Have you seen any other business people running around with iPhone 5C’s? No? I don’t, either.<\/p>\n

Marriott Frankfurt also has well-equipped rooms and cozy beds – given that I spend half of my week here for the unforeseeable future this is really necessary! Hope it stays that way. For upgrades and my own access to Marriott’s lounges and a travel world full of excitement and perks I have already signed up for their rewards scheme, hoping for it to pay off some day.<\/p>\n

Das ist einer der atemberaubenden Aussichten, die man zu sehen bekommt, wenn man im Frankfurt Mariott Hotel verweilt, welches ich demn\u00e4chst mein zweites zu Hause nennen werde. Gerade angefangen mit meinem allerersten Projekt in meiner Karriere als junge Beraterin, frage ich mich, ob das wirklich mein zu Hause fern von zu Hause sein wird. Wenn ich Kollegen sehe, die damit vertraut sind, werde ich unsicher, wie lange es dabei bleibt f\u00fcr mich…Na ja, wir hatten zumindest einen guten Start!<\/p>\n

Das Fitnessstudio ist gro\u00df und bietet beste Voraussetzungen, um in Form zu bleiben, auch wenn lange Arbeiten hier die Regel zu sein scheint. Oder zumindest lange da zu bleiben, weil viele Kollegen die Lounge nach der Arbeit besuchen, wo sie einen vollen K\u00fchlschrank mit allen m\u00f6glichen (nicht-) alkoholischen Getr\u00e4nken haben. F\u00fcr Anf\u00e4nger, eine gute Auswahl an Bier und Wein. Nicht zu vergessen, das Mittagessen, vorausgesetzt du hast den Goldstatus im Mariott erreicht. Die „\u00e4lteren“ Kollegen (also die, die schon l\u00e4nger an dem Projekt arbeiten) k\u00f6nnen immer einen Gast mitbringen, womit der Zugang f\u00fcr unsere noch kleine Gruppe grunds\u00e4tzlich immer gew\u00e4hrt wird. Flur 42 ist auch ein guter Ort, um neue Kollegen kennenzulernen, die an verschiedenen Projekten arbeiten. Unsere Leute haben ein einzigartiges Erkennungszeichen – ihre Handys. Habt ihr schon mal Gesch\u00e4ftsleute mit einem iPhone 5C rumrennen sehen? Nein? Ich auch nicht.<\/p>\n

Mariott Frankfurt hat sowohl die Zimmer, wie auch insbesondere die Betten gem\u00fctlich ausgestattet. Vorausgesetzt, dass ich eventuell demn\u00e4chst die H\u00e4lfte meiner Woche hier verbringen werde, ist das auch dringend notwendig! Hoffentlich bleibt es so. F\u00fcr Upgrades und meinen eigenen Zugang in die Lounges von Mariott und einer Reisewelt, voll mit Aufregung und Verg\u00fcnstigungen, habe ich mich bereits f\u00fcr das Belohnungsschema eingetragen, in der Hoffnung, dass es sich eines Tages auszahlt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
